Florida: Getting There and St. Augustine

Trey and I had so much fun this last week in Florida.  Get ready for lots of pictures.

We flew out of Salt Lake at 6am so these are of the sunrise on the plane:

When we finally got to our hotel we were starving.  We drove to the nearest beach and ate at Joe's Crab Shack.  I had crab for the first time - it's definitely overrated, but was fun to try :).  After we ate we took a walk on the beach.

The rest of these are of Mickler's Beach and St. Augustine.  Since we were staying in Jacksonville we decided to try to find the best beaches close by.  Mickler's was cool because of all the shells.  St. Augustine was a touristy town with lots of history, but the beach was just as good as Jacksonville Beach.

Looks like you were having a great time. St. Augustine does have a lot of history. If you have time and they are still there take the horse and carriage ride. They take you off the main area and give you a history lesson as well. At least they did that several years ago. I was there for a day, by boat. Helped friends bring there boat to Florida from Delaware. Love it and would do it again. Jude
